Contact VA Disability Hub

VA Disability Hub is an independent, veteran-focused resource that exists to help you understand the disability rating system, the claims process, and the benefits you've earned through your service. We genuinely want to hear from the veterans, family members, advocates, and VSO representatives who use this site — your feedback is what keeps our content accurate and useful.

How to Reach Us

Use the form below to send us a message. A real person reads every submission. We do not currently offer phone support — keeping the site free and free of advertising-driven conflicts of interest means we run a small operation, and written messages let us research each question carefully before responding.

We use this to reply. We never share or add it to a mailing list.

What We Can Help With

There are several kinds of messages we are happy to receive and act on quickly:

  • Corrections and errata — if you spot a wrong rating percentage, an outdated pay rate, a broken link, a typo, or a misquoted CFR section, please tell us. We treat accuracy reports as our highest priority and usually push fixes within a day or two.
  • Content requests — if there is a condition, secondary condition, claim type, or state benefit we have not yet covered, let us know. We prioritize new content partly based on how often readers ask for it.
  • Clarifications — if a guide is unclear, jargon-heavy, or assumes knowledge that a first-time claimant would not have, that is feedback we want. We try to write for veterans who are filing a claim for the first time, not lawyers.
  • Tool feedback — bugs in the combined-rating calculator or the self-assessment quiz, results that look wrong, or features that would make them more useful.
  • General feedback — what is working, what is confusing, what is missing.

What We Cannot Help With

There are some things we are not able to do, and being upfront about them is part of being a responsible source of information:

  • We cannot give legal or medical advice about your specific claim. We are not VA-accredited attorneys, claims agents, doctors, or VSO representatives. Anything we told you about your individual case would be unreliable at best and harmful at worst.
  • We cannot file claims on your behalf or interact with the VA on your behalf.
  • We cannot tell you what rating you will get. The self-assessment gives an estimate based on the rating criteria in 38 CFR Part 4, but only the VA — after reviewing your medical evidence and your Compensation & Pension exam — can issue a real rating decision.
  • We cannot intervene with the VA on appeals, denials, or processing delays.

Where to Get Personalized Help

For one-on-one help with your claim, the best resource is a free, VA-accredited Veterans Service Organization. VSO representatives are trained, accredited by the VA, and do not charge fees. Some of the largest national VSOs:

  • Disabled American Veterans (DAV)dav.org/get-help-now
  • Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)vfw.org
  • The American Legionlegion.org/veteransbenefits
  • AMVETSamvets.org
  • State and County Veterans Service Offices — every U.S. state has a veterans department, and most counties have a County Veterans Service Officer (CVSO) who can help you file for both federal and state benefits at no cost. You can find your state's veterans office through the VA's state directory.

If a VSO is not the right fit, you can also work with a VA-accredited claims agent or attorney. The VA maintains a public accreditation search so you can verify anyone before signing a fee agreement. We strongly recommend reading our guide on VSOs versus attorneys versus claims agents before paying anyone for claims help.

You can also contact the VA directly at 1-800-827-1000 for general benefits questions, or visit VA.gov for official information.

Reporting Errors and Corrections

Accuracy matters more than anything else on this site, because veterans use this information to make real decisions about their claims. If you find something that looks wrong, choose Correction or errata in the form above and include:

  • The page URL where you saw the issue
  • What you believe is incorrect
  • If possible, a link to the authoritative source (VA.gov, eCFR, Federal Register, etc.)

Verified corrections are reflected on the page along with an updated "Last updated" date. Read more about how we handle corrections in our editorial policy.

Response Times

We typically respond within 2–5 business days. Correction reports get faster turnaround. We do not respond to unsolicited marketing, link-exchange requests, sponsored content offers, or AI-generated guest-post pitches.
